Privacy
Last updated October 17, 2026
We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies. The iPhone app counts sign-up steps; see below.
What we keep
- Your email address, to sign you in and to contact you about the game.
- From Google or Apple, if you sign in with them: your account ID, email address and name. We use them only to sign you in, and we get no other access to your account.
- Passkeys: only the public key. Your fingerprint or face never leaves your device.
- What you play: your tales, the pictures and narration made for them, and feedback you send.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, for up to 90 days.
Who else handles it
We send only what each service needs: your turns to our AI providers (through OpenRouter, fal, and Fish Audio or ElevenLabs for voices) to write, paint and narrate the story, your email address to Resend to send you email, and every visit through Cloudflare, and the iPhone app’s sign-up counts to PostHog. Railway hosts the game and keeps your account, tales and files (the pictures and narration made for them). We share it with no one else.
Your tales and their pictures are kept until you delete them or your account. The AI services keep what they receive under their own terms.
Counting sign-ups in the iPhone app
The iPhone app tells PostHog, an analytics service, which sign-in screen you saw and which steps you reached: the first screen, the way in you tapped, a code sent or accepted, the sign-up, the waitlist, and starting your first tale. It also sends basic facts about the app and phone: app version, phone model, iOS version, language and time zone. It never sends your name, email address, sign-in codes, or anything you type, including your tales. Before you sign in, these counts carry only a random number made by the app. Once you sign in, they’re linked to your account’s ID number, so we can tell whether a sign-up finished. We don’t use them for ads, we don’t sell them, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites. PostHog stores them in the United States and doesn’t keep your IP address. When you delete your account, we delete these counts too.
Deleting your data
Open Account → Delete account in the game to delete your account, tales and sign-in methods. To stop a deleted account from starting its daily AI allowance over, we keep a scrambled fingerprint of the email, and nothing readable, for up to 24 hours (up to 90 days if we had set a limit on your account). Backups roll over within a few weeks. For anything else, email [email protected].
Children and changes
Perpetua isn’t for children under 16. If this page changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email.
